Fast Travel Games is a Stockholm VR developer and publisher founded in 2016. Its in-house slate includes Apex Construct and Vampire: The Masquerade – Justice. PAYDAY: Aces High, an officially licensed VR heist, is scheduled for Q4 2026.
History
CEO Oskar Burman, creative director Erik Odeldahl and CTO Kristoffer Benjaminsson founded the studio after years at companies such as EA DICE, Avalanche and Rovio. The first office was in Stockholm’s Old Town. Fast Travel remains independent and venture-backed. A publishing arm for other VR studios opened in 2021.
Games
Internal titles include Apex Construct (2018), The Curious Tale of the Stolen Pets, Wraith: The Oblivion – Afterlife, Cities: VR, Ghost Signal: A Stellaris Game, Vampire: The Masquerade – Justice, Mannequin and Action Hero. PAYDAY: Aces High is a new four-player VR co-op heist developed by Fast Travel under licence from Starbreeze; it is not a port of an existing PAYDAY game. Titles Fast Travel publishes for other studios — such as MoonHood’s The Midnight Walk — are not Swedish-developed releases.
Now
PAYDAY: Aces High is due in Q4 2026 for Meta Quest and SteamVR, after a closed playtest in August 2026. In 2025 the studio downsized, moved office, and published The Midnight Walk, which won Best VR/AR Game at The Game Awards.
