Iron Gate is a small game development studio from Sweden, founded in 2018 by two industry veterans. It is based in Skövde and is best known for the Viking survival game Valheim, which the studio says has sold over 12 million copies worldwide.

Now
Valheim leaves Early Access on 9 September 2026, with the Deep North biome, and launches on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 with full crossplay. Existing owners get the 1.0 update for free.
