Landfall

Landfall is a Stockholm indie studio that builds short-cycle, physics-heavy games with a comic streak. Founded in 2015, it is best known for Totally Accurate Battle Simulator, Content Warning, and PEAK — the last made together with Seattle’s Aggro Crab.

History

Wilhelm Nylund and Philip Westre started Air Brawl in high school. After a Sweden Game Awards nomination in 2014, the game reached Steam Early Access and Petter Henriksson joined. The trio followed it with Clustertruck in September 2016, which gave the studio room to grow. Landfall Games AB remains independent and based in Stockholm. COO Petter Henriksson still frames the company as a small studio that stays small, makes physics games (and sometimes other games), and now funds other work it likes.

Games

The catalogue is almost all in-house. Clustertruck (2016) and Stick Fight: The Game (2017) led into Totally Accurate Battle Simulator, which left Early Access on 1 April 2021. ROUNDS launched the same day. Content Warning, a co-op horror filming game, shipped on 1 April 2024. HASTE, a high-speed runner, followed on 1 April 2025. PEAK, a co-op climbing game developed with Aggro Crab, launched on 16 June 2025.

Now

PEAK’s final major update, The Final Ascent, is out, adding the Gloom and Citadel biomes. Console versions with cross-play are the next focus. Content Warning and Haste are on consoles, and TABS Pocket Edition is on phones. Through Evil Landfall, the studio also invests in self-publishing indies without taking those games as publisher.
