The 25th Swedish Game Awards: New Talent takes place on Friday 11 September 2026 at Bio Skandia in Stockholm, Dataspelsbranschen reports. More than 80 student games were submitted; 19 from seven Swedish game education programmes are nominated across the awards categories. Game of the Year nominees will be announced closer to the gala.
This year’s show also includes Most Wanted Employer, where competing students nominate the studio they would most like to work for. Nominees are Arrowhead, DICE, Embark, Hazelight and Landfall. A free New Talent Showcase runs the day before, on 10 September, at Game Town (Magnus Ladulåsgatan 65, Stockholm).
