Iron Gate’s Viking survival hit Valheim will leave Early Access and ship as version 1.0 on 9 September 2026 across PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, Linux and Mac, Coffee Stain Publishing confirmed. The launch brings the final biome, Deep North — a glacial region of snowstorms, abandoned villages and ancient threats — announced during the PC Gaming Show.
Developer Iron Gate AB (Skövde) and publisher Coffee Stain Publishing say the update closes the Early Access journey that began in February 2021. Cross-play across platforms is part of the 1.0 package.
